A relaxed crafting gathering where the real goal is hanging out. Think book club vibes, but instead of discussing a book, we make a simple craft together whilst chatting. Each session has a simple beginner-friendly craft you can do while socialising. No skills required. All materials provided.

About the event
This evening gathering is an opportunity to relax, chat and carve out some time for yourself to be present.
Each monthly session there will be a simple, no experience needed craft, from collage, weaving & fused glass to decoupage, air-dry pottery & fabric painting.
It is well known that doing things with your hands, such as crafting, promotes relaxation by engaging the brain's "effort-driven rewards circuit," reducing cortisol levels, and inducing a mindful state that eases anxiety.
Repetitive, tactile motions help calm the nervous system, improve mood, and foster a sense of accomplishment. And that is exactly what I want the outcome to be from these sessions at The Makery.
Come solo or bring a friend. Everybody is welcome and will be made to feel so. All materials are provided along with light refreshments. No experience needed. The craft is just something to keep your hands busy while conversations flow.
